Nutrition & Inflammation

A review of the evidence on anti-inflammatory dietary interventions for patients

Do you have patients come to you with an autoimmune or pro inflammatory condition - looking to try the 'diet de jour' - and you aren't sure where to start?

Do you find it challenging to keep up with all the purported 'anti-inflammatory' diets and literature out there, and want to be able to answer your patients questions that they've often spent HOURS researching?

Do you find your resources out of date, contradictory, and that you feel your patient 'knows' more than you?

Do you want to be able to provide your patient with evidence-based interventions for an anti-inflammatory diet, but feel like you're not getting a lot of buy-in?

If you've felt this way - then this workshop is for you!

Most patients with a pro-inflammatory condition have tried many diets, read a ton of books, blogs, and articles and often come to you with a baseline knowledge that can be rooted in misinformation, or a poor interpretation of the literature - leaving them stuck on a restricted diet.

Kim Arrey, Registered Dietitian is the EXPERT in anti-inflammatory nutrition and will help us untangle the evidence and dive into some of the more popular anti-inflammatory diets in this 1 hour workshop!

You Will Learn

  • the current evidence on nutrition and inflammation
  • how to create patient buy-in with evidence based interventions
  • we will review all sorts of diets you've heard your patients trying and look at whether evidence exists to support them, and if so, should we try it?

If patients are coming to you overwhelmed about what they can and can't eat, with major fears of 'not doing enough' to manage their autoimmune or pro inflammatory condition, chances are, YOU can help them.

We KNOW there are knowledge gaps in this area - the evidence is difficult to review and interpret, and apply to clinical practice, and the number of diets are numerous. As Kim says - there's a little bit of evidence for a LOT of things. We've combed through the evidence and found an expert to teach you on the topic, so you can confidently counsel your patients!
