Counselling patients with a sulphite sensivity is tricky - because the resources out there are outdated, incorrect, and don't account for labelling law changes.
The information my patients find on google is restrictive, incorrect, and often times leaves them TERRIFIED to eat outside the home.
Sulphite sensitivity is COMMON - affecting 0.5-1% of the population.
This topic is very near and dear to Andrea's heart, as she was diagnosed with a sulphite sensitivity - and didn't know what to do about it! She recognized through her own diagnosis that this was a VERY underdeveloped, poorly understood area of practice.
So she reviewed all of the research, literature, spent hours on the phone with the CFIA and FDA, and developed counselling tools to help you help your patients.
